Howard TerryJan 28, 2018

According to the BBC, the Taliban took responsibility for the attack. It was lunchtime and many people were in the street.

"This is one of the most unexpected and sad things which happened and we are in deep shock with this attack" some local people are said that. "It was a bad attack that killed women, children, shopkeepers and visitors to the area".

On or hand, Italian Emergency NGO, specializing in war surgery, has reported that he attended 50 wounded in his hospital, and his coordinator leave Panic, he has called it "massacre". "The whole place has now been sealed off", he said. Votel and his traveling party were not hurt and have since continued onward.

Taliban has claimed responsibility for the attack which is believed to be the biggest since a truck bomb ripped through the Afghan capital's diplomatic quarter on May 31 previous year. People ran out to help and ambulances arrived to transport dozens of wounded to area hospitals. There was worldwide outcry too, with North Atlantic Treaty Organisation, the United States embassy in Kabul and British foreign minister Boris Johnson among those expressing horror at the latest attack.

"They are asking people with non-life threatening wounds to go to other hospitals", he said.

The death toll has been steadily rising, surging from 40 to 63 to almost one hundred.

After Saturday's attacks Pakistan issued a statement condemning the bombing.

Afghanistan's Chief Executive, Abdullah Abdullah, condemned the attack, describing it as "insane, inhuman, heinous and a warcrime", via his official Twitter account. "The perpetrators of these attacks and their supporters should be brought to justice", the Ministry of External Affairs said in a statement.

"Their work to create a peaceful, prosperous future for all the citizens of this country is the best response to terrorists and others who know only violence", he said.

An ambulance, loaded with a powerful explosive, has exploded this morning in a crowded area of civilians in center of Kabul, next to a police station located in vicinity of diplomatic district of Afghan capital. "My government and I stand with the fearless people of Afghanistan".

The Islamic State detonated a vehicle bomb outside Save the Children, a children's charity in Jalalabad, Nangarhar Province, ending the lives of four and injuring a few dozen others.
