Philippe Coutinho says Barcelona would welcome Neymar back with open arms

Philippe Coutinho would be delighted if PSG star Neymar was to re-sign for Barcelona.

Mundo Deportivo say that the forward is hoping to secure a return to the Camp Nou not this summer, but in the summer of 2019, given that it would be impossible for Paris Saint-Germain to allow him to depart only a year after arriving.

"With Neymar, that's life, but I have the same feelings as (Ivan) Rakitic", he said at the presentation of the Mediterranean International Cup (H/T Marca).

'He is a great player.

"I play with him for the global team and it is a real privilege".

"He hasn't said anything to me, but if it were up to me, I'd open the door up to him right now", Rakitic told reporters on Saturday after Barca's 2-0 win at Malaga, which took the Catalans 11 points clear at the top of La Liga. PSG will only invest more as they seek to claim Europe's ultimate prize next season, and they will do all they can to keep Neymar, you can be sure of that.

The former Liverpool midfielder would relish the chance to link up with Neymar at club level.

The Brazilian, who is currently recuperating for the rest of the season after breaking his fifth metatarsal against Marseille, is continually being linked with a move to Real Madrid and reports are now intensifying following the French club's Champions League failure.

Coutinho is one who would love to have Neymar as a team-mate at the Camp Nou and when talking about his global team-mate, he said: "We are talking about a Champion, for me it is a great pleasure to play with him in the Brazil national team".
