Spider-Man, Iron Man, Ant-Man, Wasp and other superheros are seen next to the Avengers symbol in three promotional posters for the new expansions that Disney highlights in an announcement video released Tuesday.

The current attraction that replaced the Hollywood Tower of Terror has become the "highest-rated" attraction at Disneyland Resort since its 2017 overhaul, the park said.

The Marvel attractions are just latest project in a flurry of construction at Disney parks.

To make space for the new attractions, the park is removing A Bug's Land. Therefore, there can't be a Marvel-themed area at Disney World.

Today, Disney and Marvel formally announced plans for a Marvel-themed area that will be coming to Disney California Adventure, joining the already-open Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: BREAKOUT! This will join the Iron Man Experience, which already opened in 2017.

The Avengers attractions will take over "A Bug's Land", which is based on Pixar's "A Bug's Life" movie. That's the second park at Disneyland Resort, right across the esplanade from the original Disneyland.

Disneyland Paris will host a Marvel Summer of Super Heroes event from June 10 to September 20, where "heroes will take the stage for a brand new, live-action super-production featuring cutting-edge special effects and spectacular projections", according to a press release.

Hong Kong Disneyland's expansion will take also course over multiple years. That is also expected to open in 2020.

Disney has announced that new areas and experiences featuring the Marvel universe are coming to Disneyland Resort in California, Disneyland Paris and Hong Kong Disneyland. In Hong Kong Disneyland, fans will be able to team up with Ant-Man and the Wasp on a new ride.
