Kathy Griffin Admits Trump Decapitation Photo Was "A Little Soon"

One year on, Kathy Griffin's big regret isn't being photographed with a bloody, decapitated Donald Trump head - it's apologizing for it. "I wanted to shame him", Griffin said.

It's been almost a year since Kathy Griffin was caught up in a whirlwind of controversy after the release of a photo in which she proudly held aloft the faux severed head of President Donald Trump.

"What a year it's been". I've made a lot of mistakes in my career. And the sons, Don Jr. and Eric, or as I call them, Eddie Munster and Date Rape (she spoke similarly of them in our exclusive interview here). "I'm looking at Sean Spicer, and I kept doing this thing", she said while mimicking pointing her fingers at her eyes and then back at Spicer. Asked what evidence she has to back that up, she fired a barb at the president's embattled personal attorney, whose office was raided and is now the subject of a criminal investigation. Instead, Griffin used her down time to stay at home and come up with new material, which she will share with fans on her recently-announced "Laugh Your Head Off Tour 2018", which begins in Toronto, Canada on May 25.

'I sincerely apologize. I am just now seeing the reaction of these images.

It is unclear as to why Hannity would end up in jail but grouped him with the rest of the Trump administration, who she thinks are "all going to jail". "I started some crap", she revealed.

"The Fox News machine and TMZ was recording my tour cancellations in real time because of bomb threats, which I later found out were robocalls", Griffin continued.

"I got into fights and everything", she bragged.

Previously, Griffin apologized for the photo a year ago: "I sincerely apologize". I wish I had done a blow up doll.

Griffin said she didn't really think about it at the time and admitted she was "triggered" by Trump's rhetoric.

"I was surprised by the mainstream media's depiction of Wolf having bombed and offended the room", Naff said.

Her motivation for taking back her apology?

Schlapp, who serves White House director of strategic communications, gained attention for walking out of the dinner on Saturday night, after which her husband Matt Schlapp (head of the American Conservative Union) tweeted: "Enough of elites mocking all of us". But when you do something like that, I really did just try to make a statement.
