Damon Wayans Alleges Fired 'Lethal Weapon' Co-star Abusive on Set

Wayans reportedly shared a series of since-deleted tweets on his also-since-deleted private account containing photo and video depicting instances of on-set tension between himself and Crawford.

After Lethal Weapon was officially renewed for a third season without Clayne Crawford, star Damon Wayans is addressing issues with his since-fired co-star.

"An actor on set felt unsafe because a piece of shrapnel from an effect hit him", he wrote, describing the incident Wayans showcased in his tweets.

"How does the shrapnel from this hit me on the opposite side of the head?" he tweeted, accompanied by a picture of the back of his head bleeding from a cut.

Executives from the Fox network said it wasn't their decision to give Crawford the boot, but according to TV Guide, the network supported the hard call made by producers at Warner Bros. He called his co-star "uninsurable". After that tweet, Wayans deleted his Twitter account in its entirety, according to The Hollywood Reporter, but his tweets have been preserved by others in screengrabs, which you can see below. That, combined with other complaints about Crawford's behavior, ultimately led to his termination, which left the future of the series in jeopardy.

Seemingly every TV hiatus brings about shocking cast changes, and Fox's Lethal Weapon has arguably caused the most commotion so far, with Martin Riggs portrayer Clayne Crawford parting with the show in a very public way in the aftermath of investigations into the actor's workplace behavior. He posted a message of congratulations to the cast and crew on Instagram.

In the most revealing portion of this freakish Twitter rant, after which Wayans deleted all the posts and made his profile private, said: "Since @warnerbrostv is not defending me at all. here's another photo of images other people were posting in and around the lot". "He added that he "put up with this for two seasons", telling fans to, "Kiss the dark side of my a- if you don't understand it wasn't just me", adding that Clayne Crawford has a "file of infractions" and asking Warner Bros.to "#releasethetapes". Wayans' caption of the photo claims that the producers at Warner Bros. The actor recently apologized for two incidents for which he was reprimanded during the sophomore season. My heart is full. "Relished in making female (s) cry. Good Luck nxt season!" The first reprimand came after Crawford "reacted with anger" toward a guest director and assistant director. Crawford subsequently met with human resources, apologized for his actions, completed the appropriate therapy sessions required of him, then shared a "sizable portion" of his earnings with a party involved in the incident.

The actor continued by sharing that he has absolute "love, respect and look after my crew and forged, and would by no means deliberately jeopardize so many roles".
