Most Idaho voters are Republican, and the competitive Republican primary for governor features three leading candidates who would be formidable in a general election: Rep. Raúl R. Labrador, a founding member of the hard-right House Freedom Caucus; Lt. Gov. Brad Little, who has the support of outgoing Gov. C.L.

HOUSE GOP CURSE: Last Tuesday, three House Republicans lost in Republican primaries for higher office - Luke Messer and Todd Rokita in IN, and Evan Jenkins in West Virginia.

Ballots are due by 8 p.m. Tuesday and postmarks don't count.

Pennsylvania voters have a lot of races to settle in the primary election, including picking Republican challengers to Democratic Gov. Tom Wolf and U.S. Sen. Wagner is the party's endorsed candidate. If Morganelli (nicknamed MAGAnelli by his critics) wins the nomination, which he could based on name ID alone, Democrats could split in the general election.

Governor Pete Ricketts is facing a challenge from his own party for the Republican nomination.

Republican Laura Ellsworth started early Tuesday morning.

Terry Madonna, an expert on state politics at Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, said Democrats risked losing the Allentown race if a candidate viewed as too liberal wins Tuesday's primary.

A Homeland Security official has met with Pennsylvania officials to discuss election security as voters choose Republican challengers to Democratic Gov. Tom Wolf and U.S. Sen.

Republicans will choose from five candidates: Kathleen Ann Coder, Jeffrey Bartos, Marguerite Luksik, and Diana Irey Vaughan.

They are Jeff Bartos, a real estate investor from suburban Philadelphia who is campaigning with Wagner; Diana Irey Vaughan, a Washington County commissioner who has run previously for Congress and state treasurer and who is campaigning with Mango; Kathy Coder, a Republican State Committee member from Allegheny County; and Marguerite "Peg" Luksik, a longtime conservative activist from Cambria County who has run twice for governor and once for U.S. Senate. Chuck Eddy is challenging Barr in the Republican primary.

David Torres is running unopposed in the GOP primary. He and his Republican opponent, Rick Saccone, are on the back ballot tonight for separate seats in the new PA map - Lamb in the new 17th District, and Saccone in the new 14th District.

Paulette Jordan hopes to be the first Native American governor in USA history.

Bryan Leib will run unopposed in the GOP primary.

Democrat primary candidates are Lawrence Arata III, Margo Lomax Davidson, Thaddeus Kirkland, Richard Lazer, Ashley Lunkenheimer, Lindy Li, Mary Gay Scanlon, Molly Marie Sheehan, Gregory Vitali, and Theresa Wright. Labrador was a founding member of the House Freedom Caucus, but should Idaho Republican voters reject him, it will be another sign of how hard running with Washington experience is for any Republican member of Congress this year. Unaffiliated voters may only return one party's ballot.
