Liberal Premier Kathleen Wynne admits she will lose provincial election

Ford said Friday that he has not yet decided whether he will attend and participate in the event if he wins the June 7 vote.

"I think that we've all had just about enough of Donald Trump", Wynne said.

"They are anxious about a majority NDP government, and they want to know what it would mean to cast their vote for Liberal and what I'm saying is, 'Yeah, it looks like I'm not going to be the premier".

"You're not getting rid of me, I'm going to be campaigning really hard right through until that last vote is cast because those local fights are really, really important", she said. Acknowledging that the Ontario Liberal Party has no chance of winning the most seats on Thursday, Wynne told reporters in Toronto that she's appealing to Ontarians to use their votes to prevent a "blank cheque" majority government for either the New Democrats or Progressive Conservatives.

At a news conference today in Toronto, Wynne admitted the polls show Ontarions want change.

Like a true political chameleon, she'll do and say whatever she thinks will win her votes.

The New Democrats, led by Andrea Horwath, have vowed to extend public funding for prescription medicines and dental care and increase the corporate tax rate for large companies.

Horwath's voting pitch - typically seen as Ontario and federal elections move into their final stretches - comes as polls suggest either she or Ford will become Ontario's next premier.

THE CANADIAN PRESS Ontario Liberal Party Leader Kathleen Wynne listen to students at the University of Waterloo during a campaign stop in Waterloo, Ont., on Friday. "Andrea is the kind of leader we need and the NDP's plan will make Ontario a stronger province", said Warren. Therefore, she says people should vote Liberal to ensure the other parties can not win anything except a minority.

Marie-France Lalonde, the party's candidate in Ottawa-Orleans and a former minister in Wynne's government, said the announcement won't dissuade her from door knocking.

Horwath says she gets a sense from her team "on the ground" that people want change, and after Thursday's election the government will look different than it has in the past two decades.

Liberals say that now their focus is on trying to maintain official party status in the legislature, which requires at least eight seats.

It's a decision all three Liberals say they hope voters aren't making lightly.

"We must work domestically to make Ontario and Canada more competitive". "They're hoping they can salvage (the party).it's about saying to people: don't abandon us". People worry about what will happen to our economy if the NDP take power and form a majority government with nothing to hold them back.
