I will be ready - Salah expects to face Uruguay

Grant SmithJun 10, 2018

Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah has made fun of Sergio Ramos' claims that he could have continued playing after injuring his shoulder in a challenge from Ramos at the UEFA Champions Legue final, insisting that leaving the match was the worst moment of his career. However, Ramos states that Salah should have carried on and also hit back at reporters after accusing him with incidents involving Liverpool keeper Loris Karius and forward Roberto Firmino.

And according to Spanish news outlet Diario Gol, Real will go all out for Salah this summer.

I can't say one, but I like Costa a lot, when I played with him it was wonderful.

"Yes, it was", he added.

He will be regarded as key to any hopes Egypt have of springing a surprise at the World Cup in Russian Federation but, after the Champions League final injury he described as a career-low point, Salah remains uncertain if he will play in the opening Group A clash with Uruguay. "I came off at half-time because I took a knock to my knee, but there's nothing to worry about, it will be better tomorrow", he said.

After Lukaku's opener, Hazard put the hosts two up shortly before the break, curling in a first-time shot from the center of the area after Yannick Carrasco had picked him out from the endline. The squad's medical staff will determine if Salah will be able to participate in Egypt's first match against Uruguay on June 15, according to the report. It was not normal because we won the African Cup seven times, and we were champions in 2006, 2008 and 2010. I will support Egypt in the World Cup for him.

"Now I'm better, though", he added.

Belgium beat their fellow World Cup hopefuls Egypt with an assured 3-0 win in Brussels.

Nigeria turned in a disappointing performance in their final tune-up, losing 1-0 to the Czech Republic who failed to qualify for the World Cup. Of course, someone can now say "okay, we've qualified that's it". But for me it's not like that, we want to make history, achieve something different. "That is not going through my head".
