The actor and another passenger were stopped at a checkpoint at about 12:30 a.m., according to the Manhattan Beach Police Department.

Vaughn, 48, was busted early in the morning in Manhattan Beach after failing a field sobriety test that was captured with officers' body cameras, Sgt. Tim Zins said.

A rep for Vaughn said he had "no new details" when reached by the Daily News. Manhattan Beach Police Department confirmed to Us Weekly that the actor had been placed under arrest.

Vaughn's mugshot was later released by the MBPD, with the True Detective actor sporting a nervous smile.

According to TMZ, the Wedding Crashers star and his passenger were asked to step out of the vehicle but were uncooperative and refused to get out. Both were booked into jail and then they posted bail.

If convicted, Vince Vaughn will have to attend alcohol education classes and pay court fines and fees as well as legal fees.

Vince Vaughn was charged with a DUI and resisting arrest Sunday.

In 2001, reports Variety, Vaughn was arrested in Wilmington, N.C. after a bar fight. If he is charged with a DUI, it will be his first. When contacted by USA TODAY, Vaughn's representative was unable to confirm the actor's arrest.
