Trump accuses India of charging 100% tariff on some imports

In a tweet posted Saturday evening, Trump said his decision to rescind support for the statement was based on "false statements" made by Trudeau during a press conference he gave, as well as "the fact that Canada is charging massive Tariffs" on USA companies.

Prior to Trump's tweet, Trudeau had said all G-7 members signed the joint statement following the summit in Canada.

After Trump departed for Singapore for a highly anticipated meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, Trudeau criticized Trump for triggering a trade dispute and said Canada would retaliate with tariffs against the U.S.

Insulting the host, alienating allies and threatening to suspend business with other countries: U.S. President Donald Trump was in full trade-warrior form for the weekend summit of the Group of Seven wealthy democracies in Canada.

In an attack on Canada's "very dishonest and weak" Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Mr Trump revealed he was tearing up the agreed communique from the G7 gathering in Charlevoix, Canada.

The acrimonious fallout from the G7 began after Mr Trump watched Mr Trudeau's end-of-summit press conference. He expressed confidence that US relations with other G7 countries would continue to move forward, despite the weekend clash in Canada.

She said: "We won't let ourselves be ripped off again and again". He says that we are the problem with tariffs.

"Here's the thing", he added.

"We need Russian Federation for disarmament talks" and for discussions about both Ukraine and Syria, Merkel said.

Justin Trudeau and President Trump participate in the working session at the G7 summit on Friday.

Although it is unclear which of Trudeau's statements Trump was calling false, Trudeau said in a news conference Saturday that Canada will "move forward with retaliatory measures" on July 1 in response to the Trump administration's decision to impose tariffs on steel and aluminum imports from Canada, the European Union and Mexico.

Noting the USA imposition of tariffs was officially stated as a national security consideration, Freeland said: "We are very clear that Canada does not pose a national security threat to the United States". "It is a betrayal", he said.

But Kudlow probably didn't help the message he was sending to the Canadian leader by once referring to him as "Pierre Trudeau".

"He is not going to permit any show of weakness on the trip to negotiate with North Korea, nor should he", Kudlow said.

While Merkel, in the picture, can be seen standing behind a table with both hands pressed firmly into its surface atop some documents, Trump with his arms crossed stares back.

As well as criticising the tariffs, Mrs May has also opposed Mr Trump's call for Russian Federation to be readmitted to the group of leading industrialised nations. "Not fair to the PEOPLE of America!"

The remarks have enraged U.S. President Donald Trump.

He reiterated his longstanding view that the USA has been taken advantage of in global trade, adding, "We're like the piggy bank that everybody's robbing, and that ends".
