Trump aide Peter Navarro sorry for ‘place in hell’ quip

Trump was furious after Trudeau had said at the end of a contentious economic summit in Quebec that he wouldn't let Canada be pushed around in trade relations with the United States.

The House of Commons passed a unanimous motion Monday backing Trudeau's stand against the USA and it castigated Trump for his attacks on the prime minister and Canada.

"Justin probably didn't know that Air Force has about 20 televisions", Trump said.

"I own that, that was my mistake, those were my words", he said. "We just shook hands!"'

But it was just days ago that trade tensions between the United States and its second-largest trading partner escalated following the G-7 meeting after Trump and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau engaged in a public spat. Other than he had a news conference because he assumed I was on an airplane and wasn't watching.

He said: "I really believe Kim Jong-un is going to do something positive for his people". "(Trudeau) learned. You can't do that. After facing harsh attacks on his character and leadership from the USA president and his aides, Americans are coming out online to let the Canadian PM know that their president doesn't speak for them.

The Canadian Prime Minister initially said Trump's claims that Canadian steel posed a national security threat were dishonest. At the news conference, Trudeau called the USA steel and aluminum tariffs "insulting" and stated that Canada would go ahead with retaliatory tariffs on July 1 unless the American duties were dropped.

No, it's not that Mr. Trudeau didn't understand that the U.S. President might get wind of something he said at a news conference beamed live around the world.

For longtime critics of Canada's farm supply management system, President Donald Trump's latest disjointed ramblings about unfair Canadian trade practices are a bit of a gift. "It was very friendly", Trump said. But more importantly, he should apologize to the Canadian public.

U.S. President Donald Trump said Tuesday he would inflict economic punishment on "the people of Canada" because Prime Minister Justin Trudeau spoke publicly against Trump's tariffs. Chrystia Freeland, the Canadian foreign minister, called them "inappropriate" and warned that ad hominem attacks are not a productive way to conduct global relations.

"We have a big trade deficit with Canada".

In response to the massive steel and aluminium tariffs imposed by the Trump administration, Canada which is one of the largest exporters of the same spoke out against the exorbitant duties.

Mr Kudlow later suffered a "very mild" heart attack, the White House said Monday, but was in good condition.

"The US faces the same (issue)", Frigon said, adding the United States also limited dairy imports with high tariffs, albeit much lower than Canada's.
