PUBG Drops Its Lawsuit Against Fortnite Creator Epic Games

Nichole VegaJun 30, 2018

Fortnite nearly reinvented itself with its Battle Royale mode, and it seems Epic Games is about to do it again with the new update to Fortnite with Playground. For those who want to look patriotic and classy, you can get the whole shebang for a smidgen over 2,500 V-Bucks. USA! USA! USA!

The good news is that Epic Games will have an update on the situation on Thursday, June 28, probably PST time.

"We've got multiple teams working to get this mode back into your hands so you can let your imaginations run wild". We've since separated the Playground matchmaker from the one that affects the default modes and made large improvements to assist with the number of players. "We'll have more information available tomorrow".

"Season 4 is coming to an end!" Epic said that it will continue to work on re-enabling Playground mode after matchmaking was supposedly fixed, but also wrote hours later that the studio would be producing an emergency patch for stability and performance issues to release at an unannounced time.

"PC players will be prompted to update their clients when matchmaking to apply this patch".

We already know that Thursdays is when the new weekly challenges are released. Friendly fire is turned on, but if a friend kills you, you respawn nearly immediately, dropping from the battle bus again with the freedom to go anywhere else on the island.

Players will have to visit four mystery locations, as well as complete a new treasure map for those important battle stars. One of these that may excite fans is the addition of a new weapon, the dual pistols, to the Battle Royale mode, which follows other exciting weapons such as the Burst Assault Rifle.
