Anthony Bourdain Leaves Most of His Money for Daughter in Will

Bourdain's 11-year-old daughter, Ariane Busia-Bourdain, will reportedly receive the majority of his fortune.

A copy of Bourdain's will was filed in a NY court Thursday and the celebrity chef/TV host left behind about $1.2 million in known assets at the time of his death.

The document shows that Bourdain's $1.2 million in assets was made up of $425,000 in savings and cash, $35,000 in brokerage accounts, $250,000 in personal property and $500,000 in intangibles such as royalties and residuals from his TV work and books like his breakthrough 2000 memoir "Kitchen Confidential".

The court docs also mention a $1-million mortgage, but no other details were given.

Bourdain wrote his will in December 2016 and named his wife, Ottavia Busia-Bourdain, as executor.

According to TMZ, though, Bourdain's actual worth is likely much higher than the amount listed in his will.

Bourdain appointed Ottavia to oversee the trust until Ariane, the primary beneficiary, comes of age.

The court will appoint a guardian to protect the money inherited by Ariane.

He was dating an Italian actress Asia Argento before he committed suicide in a hotel room in France last month. This includes items like cars and furniture.

All this and not much more was revealed after the celebrity chef's will was filed Thursday in Manhattan Surrogate's Court. In the event that Bourdain survived his daughter, the will also states that the inheritance would have gone to her nanny, Myra Quizon, CBS reported.

In 2013, Peabody Award judges honoured Bourdain and "Parts Unknown" for "expanding our palates and horizons in equal measure". On June 22, de Rocquigny told USA TODAY that the toxicology report found no narcotics in Bourdain's system at the time of his death.
