Crew member says Johnny Depp punched him on LA film set

Gregg "Rocky" Brooks, who served as location manager for Depp's film "City of Lies", said the alleged attack came as he was seeking protection from an LAPD officer against Depp. Depp told him that he would give him $100,000 if he were to strike Johnny back in the face.

In the film, which had previously been referred to as "LAbyrinth", 55-year-old Depp portrays LAPD Detective Russell Poole, who investigated the slaying of rapper Biggie Smalls. When Brooks didn't react to the punches, Depp supposedly said, "I will give you $100,000 to punch me in the face right now".

Actor Johnny Depp posed at the world premiere of the film "Murder on the Orient Express", in November 2017, in London. Depp allegedly punched Brooks twice in the left rib cage while he was screaming at him.

Depp is also now facing a lawsuit from two former bodyguards, Eugene Arreola and Miguel Sanchez, who allege that, in their assignment protecting Depp between 2016 and 2018, they "found themselves in situations that required more than what a bodyguard would be expected to do". "You have no right to tell me what to do".

Rocky claims Depp continued his tirade and his bodyguards then removed him from the area. A bodyguard had to remove him from the area when he refused to stop the confrontation, with Brooks explained that his breath stank of alcohol during the ordeal.

Brooks said he returned to work the following Monday and was asked by a producer to write and sign a declaration saying he wouldn't sue over the incident.

City Of Lies is due out on September 7.

The location manager is suing Depp, Segal, director Brad Furman, Good Film Productions and Infinitum Nihil (the production company that Depp founded) for assault and battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress and negligence, among other damages.

The Pirates Of The Caribbean star is already facing suits filed in May in California Superior Court from two former body guards for unpaid wages and overtime.
