New iPhones and More: Here's Everything Apple Just Announced

Nichole VegaSep 14, 2018

It wouldn't be September without a big iPhone reveal event from Apple.

Like their predecessor, the iPhone X, the name is meant to be pronounced as the number 10.

By now you have probably heard that Apple's new launch this year will consist of the iPhone XS and XS Max, iPhone XR, and Apple Watch Series 4.

Isn't it wonderful that you can now get half a terabyte of storage in a phone?

The phones are updates to last year's iPhone X ("10"), which marks the 10th anniversary of the smartphone - stretching the screen while keeping the overall handset size at or near that of previous models.

Another new camera trick is adjustable bokeh - you can snap a photo, and then adjust how blurry or sharp the background of your subject is.

Tech analyst Patrick O'Rourke joined in, tweeting: 'I want to go on the record now as saying that iPhone Xs Max is a bad name for a smartphone...'

'The iPhone Xs Max price reflects the name.,' Twitter user @juhasaarinen wrote. Despite being all glass and steel, the iPhone XS Max isn't slippery at all.

Will we get one more thing? However, what it does offer is Super Retina display. Unlike its more expensive models, it only pushes a resolution of 1792×828 pixels, which is below Full HD. It loses 3D Touch - perhaps another measure of the LCD screen - and only has one of the two 12 megapixel cameras found on the back of the iPhone XS and XS Max. All the colours looked vivid and sharp on the iPhone XS Max.

Apple first added dedicated on-device machine learning to last year's chipsets, but this new generation is supposed to be around 9 times faster that last year's model while using less energy.

It has a new 12MP wide-angle lens and a 12MP telephoto lens. On the front side, it features a 7 megapixel RGB camera as a well as an infrared camera used for Face ID. However, the new range is debuting in the United States on September 14. The 512GB iPhone XS Max will put a €1,300 dent in your pocket. The front camera too remains the same 7MP module but what's new is the all-new video stabilisation. The XS has the smallest physical footprint of the three, while the XS Max comes with an enormous screen of 6.5-inches. The Series 4 feature the new S4 processor, an electrical heart sensor, and better displays. According to Apple, this is the fastest processor it has ever made. In iOS 12 (which you can beta-test right now), users will be able to train Siri, stop sites from tracking them, and limit how much time they spend in apps.

No. The iPhone XS, XS Max and even XR devices that will sell in the Chinese, Hong Kong and Macau markets will receive dual SIM smartphones without eSIM. The 256GB version will be priced at Rs 1,24,900, while the 512GB version is priced at a staggering Rs 1,44,900. It has all that we have grown accustomed to with the iPhones but in a bigger and better avatar.
