LG ThinQ V40 will be available from 18th October in black and blue colors.

According to Business Insider, LG V40 ThinQ is perhaps the first bezel-less edge-to-edge Android handset that can be perfectly matched with Apple latest range of iPhones.

LG 5-camera phone is integrated with artificial intelligence tech such as AI Cam that recommends appropriate angles and filters to capture a classic shot, and AI Composition automatically fine-tunes the position of subjects in a scene for generating a perfectly balanced picture. This phone uses LG's proprietary Silky Blast process which etches the tempered glass back with microscopic pits to create a smoother matte finish which feels extremely comfortable in the hand without being slippery.

LG has launched LG V40 ThinQ smartphone with a 6.4-inch OLD display and five cameras. The standout feature of this device will be the five cameras, there are triple cameras on the rear and dual cameras on the front. The battery is 3,300 mAh. It has a resolution of 3120 x 1440 px, a 19:5:9 aspect ratio and a pixel density of 537 ppi.

Both the G7 and the V40 support HDR10 and Dolby Vision. The phone is powered by the flagship octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, paired with 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS2.1 inbuilt storage.

And up to 512GB of storage can be added through the use of a microSD card.

In addition, the V40 also comes with LG's 32-bit quad DAC for hi-fi audio support along with DTS:X 3D Surround Sound.

The device has an IP68 water and dust resistance rating and supports wireless charging. The LG V40 is also tuned by Meridian. At the back, there is a combination of 12-megapixel wide-angle camera with f/1.5 aperture, a 16-megapixel super wide-angle camera with 107-degree field of view and f/1.9 aperture. Top it all off, Google and OnePlus are scheduled to reveal their new flagship smartphones this month and this makes it almost impossible for other companies to step in and steal some of the spotlight for them. The V-Series is LG's multimedia-centric smartphone and this year they are fitting a total of 5 cameras plus it comes with a much larger display.

Here are the specifics: the V40 has a main 12MP shooter on the back which takes normal, everyday photos; a second 12MP telephoto sensor for lossless zoom and improved portrait mode photography; and a 16MP wide-angle sensor for fitting more of a scene into a single shot. The device runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with LG UX on top and the company will soon roll out the latest Android 9.0 Pie update. The software experience between these devices will therefore be similar. The big, expensive Android phone is a direct competitor to the Samsung Galaxy Note 9, and at least at first glance, it has all of the individual ingredients needed to take it on.
