Torchlight protest at racing ad on Sydney Opera House

The broadcaster yesterday morning apologised for his on-air treatment of the Opera House CEO Louise Herron, an interview that drew accusations of bullying.

Meantime, Jones still got his way, the NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian is still Jones' puppet and Louise Herron is now a role-model to all Australians for standing up to this politically motivated fuckwits.

"I'm upset at the way the issue panned out publicly, but I'm equally upset at those who've come out now and been nearly as vitriolic in expressing their views", Ms Berejiklian told ABC. He said he didn't bully her but acknowledges that "there were people who thought he did".

Jones had called for Ms Herron to be sacked during a testy confrontation on Friday after she ruled out allowing words or branding highlighting The Everest race to be projected onto the Opera House because "it's not a billboard".

The Sydney Morning Herald reports two of Jones' business partners have horses in the race in question, and a horse owned by Jones himself tried out for but missed a spot.

More than 300,000 people have signed a petition protesting the promotion, while the NSW National Trust has questioned whether the move was legal.

"The Opera House case is a flashpoint, because it throws into broad daylight what normally happens in the dark", he added - namely, the fact that a huge amount of political influence in this country can be bought by powerful corporations, who many politicians end up working for after their political careers are done.

The top comment on the page states "Sydney should not be hostage to Alan Jones and the gambling establishments".

They then shone bright lights onto the barrier draw results and from across the other side of Circular Quay, the numbers of the race horses displayed on the heritage building were obscured.

The protesters say they will disrupt the display with torches and mobile phone light, according to Fairfax.

"If anyone wants to advertise on the biggest billboards in Sydney, this guy called Alan is apparently in charge".
