Eden Hazard: 'I regret end to Jose Mourinho relationship at Chelsea'

Grant SmithOct 14, 2018

Chelsea's Eden Hazard has admitted he would like to play for Jose Mourinho again at some point in the future.

"The last season under Mourinho was not pleasant anymore, we didn't win, we got into a sort of routine, training-training without having fun, it was better for all parties that the collaboration came to an end".

Modric, 33, is favourite to break the Messi-Ronaldo duopoly after a year that featured another Champions League win with Real and a World Cup where he was voted best player and finished runner-up with Croatia.

Hazard indicated at the end of last season that he was considering his future at Chelsea, but he eventually chose to continue at Stamford Bridge for the current campaign.

Hazard has made it clear he would have no problem moving to Real if Mourinho returned to the Santiago Bernabéu for a second spell in charge, despite enduring the worst season of his career during the campaign in which the 55-year-old was sacked by Chelsea.

"If I'm comparing his performances recently to say Neymar, I know who I'm taking in my team every week and it's Eden Hazard". We just ended up in a negative cycle.

Yet Hazard has revealed that he had a great relationship with Mourinho and wants to play under him again.

"If you win, Mourinho is the best coach you can imagine. We'd enjoyed all that success together, but this time we hadn't", he said.

Hazard admits that Mourinho can lash out at his players if results begin to slide, and he believes there is one easy way to get him on side: by winning.

According to a givemesport.com report, since the exit of the Portuguese manager from west London, the Belgian has continued to improve on his game.

A fairly turbulent time spent working with Antonio Conte at Chelsea did deliver another Premier League title for Hazard & co.
