Grande dropped "Thank U, Next", her first single since calling off her engagement to Pete Davidson, half an hour before "Saturday Night Live" aired this weekend.

Grande surprised fans by releasing a new song Saturday night called "thank u, next", in which she shouts out all of her ex-boyfriends by name.

Taking to Instagram and responding to his post, she wrote: 'HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAH IM SORRY U GOT THE WORST LINE.

Ariana had previously revealed that Ricky, along with Sean and Pete, had been sent the song to listen to before it was released.

Confirming that she's focusing on herself now, the singer hints that she's met someone new, before adding, "Her name is Ari / And I'm so good with that".

While referencing Ricky, who she dated from 2015 to 2016, Ariana sings: "Wrote some songs about Ricky/ Now I listen and laugh".

"She taught me love / She taught me patience / How she handles pain / That shit's unbelievable / I've loved and I've lost / But that's not what I see / 'Cause look what I've found / Ain't no need for searching". Even though the split with Davidson was likely painful, "Thank U, Next" shows that she's turning the breakup into an opportunity for acceptance and growth. "The most important thing is to remember that... everybody has this", she said. In the track, she addresses her break up with Pete and thanks him for everything he taught her. "She's a wonderful, strong person and I genuinely wish her all the happiness in the world".

But the chorus and catchphrase, "Thank u, next", sounds a little spicy as Grande moves on to the next one.
