Housekeeper at Trump's N.J. golf club details first family's laundry habits

Ms Morales noted multiple exchanges she had with Mr Trump were pleasant, including numerous occasions in which he tipped her $50 or $100 for her work in cleaning his private quarters.

The woman, Victorina Morales, crossed the border illegally in 1999.

Morales-who is still now employed at the gold club-also revealed she will be looking into filing a lawsuit claiming abuse and discrimination after a supervisor made hurtful comments about her intelligence and undocumented status.

She said she is certain that her employers - perhaps even Trump - knew of her unlawful status all along.

Soon after Trump launched his run for the presidency, several illegal workers had shifts axed.

Diaz discussed the tasks she carried out in her role when she cleaned Trump's residence, down to the way he liked his clothing laundered, which included ironing everything from his white boxers, golf shirts and khaki pants to his sheets and towels.

Morales, who is now employed at Bedminster, pays taxes just like legal immigrants and American citizens, says she and other undocumented employees at Bedminster are coming forward out of frustration with Trump's attacks on immigrants. "He knows we don't speak English", Morales told The Times.

She said she was not the only worker at the club who was in the country illegally.

Under a section titled "Immigration Compliance", the handbook stated that employees were required to present documents specified by the federal government.

Morales told The Times that she understood she could be fired or deported by going public with her story.

Morales made Trump's bed and cleaned his toilets. His golf courses in North Carolina and Doral, Florida, use it, as well as his Mar-a-Lago resort and his hotels in Washington and Chicago.

Mr. Trump then asked Ms. Morales her name and where she was from, she recalled.

'There are many people without papers, ' said Diaz.

He added that there were more like the two workers he represents working for Trump without documents and stressed the management "absolutely" facilitated their illegal employment. Trump at the time denied hiring undocumented workers to build the hotel, according to CBS News.

The Trump Organization, which owns the golf course, did not comment specifically on Morales or Diaz.

The New York Times article does not explain why Morales would take the risk of exposing her illegal status to a national audience, and so managers to fire here.

A statement from their lawyer, Anibal Romero, says that a supervisor also hurled racial epithets at the women and threatened them with deportation. She says she is applying for asylum and is exploring a lawsuit claiming workplace abuse and discrimination.

Conservative immigration views and undocumented employees have not mixed well for politicians in the past: A similar revelation proved damaging to Mitt Romney during his 2012 presidential campaign.
