Post-Apocalyptic Far Cry Teased By Ubisoft, Reveal Coming Thursday

The version of the clip that Ubisoft posted on Twitter shows that the new Far Cry release will be offered on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

The title suggests a flip of Far Cry 5, where the player was part of the resistance against the New Dawn movement.

If you haven't yet played Far Cry 5 and don't want to spoil the ending, you're going to want to avoid Ubisoft's tease for a Far Cry announcement that's coming during tomorrow Game Awards.

But anyway, enjoy the teaser trailer and stay tuned for more! No other information was given quite yet, but the publisher did release this teaser trailer.

A direct sequel to Far Cry 5? This would appear to be a post-apocalyptic Far Cry, complete with scrappy survivors.

The video offers a glimpse at what appears to be Hope County's vast countryside, only for it to be rocked by a nuclear blast. Even though I didn't really love Far Cry 5, I'm down for another game in the series that doesn't take itself as seriously, kind of like with Blood Dragon.

The teaser trailer for the next game talks about how an explosion caused death and "The flames devoured everything" but eventually "years of rain and howling winds gave way to blue skies and a new world in bloom". This would be a first for a Far Cry game: usually, each new entry is a standalone title with a different setting.
