Deontay Wilder Tears Into Anthony Joshua And Eddie Hearn

Grant SmithDec 08, 2018

Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury gave fans an epic battle at the Staples Center on December 1, 2018 in Los Angeles, California.

"Tyson and I spoke about fighting Wilder and he said, "Go and do it, make it happen".

Although it is the father of four children, Tyson Fury is not, however, a fierce supporter of the legacy.

Wilder said the bright lights of his first pay-per-view fight and a crowd of almost 18,000 fans caused nerves that led him to hunt for a knockout as opposed to staying with his game plan.

"This is the biggest fight still in the heavyweight division, this is the most exciting fight in the heavyweight division and we're ready to give the fans what they want to see". A little over thirty seconds in, Fury was hit with a strong right hand while ducking and Wilder followed it up with a flush left hook right on the button, sending Tyson Fury to the canvas.

Warren is ready to write to the WBC to request an immediate rematch with Wilder and believes he has the backing of the British Boxing Board of Control.

Since the conclusion of the fight, plenty of headlines have come out of it, but the latest is a decent clip of Fury in his corner at the end of the third round. He would love Wilder next and he has always wanted Fury. "Everybody out there who has the same problems I've been suffering with, I did that for you guys". I don't see why we wouldn't.

Wilder vs. Fury was a great fight, there was action, drama, and even a lot of showboating (by Fury). We can't get away from this fight. He said 'Go to the right.' I went to the right. I don't want no other fights to happen between him or I before then.

Frank Warren wants to work with Eddie Hearn to make a huge domestic heavyweight clash between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua.

Anthony Joshua labelled Wilder a "fool" and called out the American and Fury following the duo's contentious Los Angeles draw. He'd love to fight Fury as well, but for now I think Wilder is the one he wants. "They're getting what they deserve". "We don't care about him no more". They had their opportunity but they led people on. They felt they were the people that were running this sport.

Fury claimed everyone knew he should have been crowned the victor - labelling Mexican judge Alejandro Rochin a "disgrace" for his Wilder-favouring scorecard. Comment below with what you thought of the fight, the decision, and how you think a rematch would play out. You've got to take the title, and I don't think Fury took the title.

Yet after just two comeback fights against mediocre opposition to say the least the 30-year-old looked every inch a world title contender once more as he climbed into the ring last Saturday night to fight a man who had won all of his professional bouts to date.
